Called autism clusters, these areas have high concentrations of white residents, most of whom are highly educated parents.

More autism clusters are hoping to be uncovered by the University of California Davis researchers. This is being done in order to discover anything in the environment that may be triggering a rise in the rates of autism. Currently, as many as one in 110 American children are affected by Autism.

The study had examined almost all of the 2.5 million babies born in California between 1996 and 2000.
